Admissions

Independent schools run their own admissions. You register directly with the school, usually for a fee, and the school sets its own deadlines, assessments and offer dates, which are separate from the borough process.

Entry points, as published by the school

  • Year 7 (11+)

Candidates sit a digital entrance assessment in Maths and English (about one hour, on a computer or iPad provided on-site; overseas candidates may sit remotely). Shortlisted candidates are invited to the Athena Assessment day: group creative activities plus a one-to-one interview of around 15 minutes, about two hours in total, assessing thinking style rather than knowledge. Application fee £250 (£350 overseas). Source

  • Sixth form (16+)

Shortlisted candidates attend subject-specific interviews and information sessions. Entry requirements include a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 8-9 plus three at grade 7, grade 8 or 9 in chosen A Level subjects, and grade 7 or above in Mathematics and English Language. Application fee £250 (£350 overseas). Source

  • Reception (4+) · 44 places

Girls are assessed in small groups in a friendly, nursery-style environment where they play, join in musical activities and carry out tasks linked to early maths, language and literacy; the school looks for potential rather than what has already been learnt. Two classes typically in the region of 22 pupils per class are admitted. Assessments cannot take place overseas or remotely. Application fee £250 (incl. VAT). Source
