How this is calculated

The fee for each year group is the school's published termly fee multiplied by three terms.
For each later school year the fee is raised by your chosen percentage, compounded once a year from the school year the fee was published for. At 0% the published fee is used unchanged.
Where a school publishes no fee for a year group, the nearest published year group's fee is used and marked with an asterisk.
"This school's own record" appears only where we hold at least three years of the school's fees. It is the median yearly change, leaving out the 2025-26 step where VAT was added.
VAT: independent school fees have carried 20% VAT since 1 January 2025. We never add VAT to a fee that already includes it. Where a source quotes fees without VAT, 20% is added and the table says so.
Extras and one-off costs are only what you enter. We do not publish averages for lunches, uniform or trips because we hold no verified figures for them.
