Admissions

  • Year 7 (11+)

    Online ISEB Common Pre-Test (sat at current school, a UK test centre or a British Council office), followed by an Assessment Day at Wycombe Abbey in November comprising an individual interview, small group activities and one-hour English and Mathematics exams. Scholarship examinations by invitation in January. Limited day places for candidates living within 15 miles. Source

  • Year 9 (13+)

    Online ISEB Common Pre-Test (sat at current school, UK test centre or British Council office) by October, followed for selected candidates by an Assessment Day at Wycombe Abbey in January: individual interview, entrance exams in English, Mathematics and Humanities, a practical Science assessment, and optional papers in Modern Foreign Languages, Latin and Greek. A small number of deferred 13+ places available for UK prep schools ending at Year 8. Source

  • Sixth form (16+)

    Stage 1: UKiset (online adaptive cognitive test) sat at approved UK or accredited international test centres between 1 January and 31 July. Shortlisted candidates then sit entrance examinations at Wycombe Abbey in four subjects at GCSE/IGCSE level (Art by practical assessment with portfolio) and a 20-minute interview with a senior member of staff.
