For schools

Check and correct your school's page

Every London school has a page on Deep Teaching, built from public sources. If something on yours is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it. It is free, and it always will be.

How to request a correction

  1. Find your school with the school search and open its page.
  2. Choose “Report an error” beside the section that is wrong, or go straight to the correction form.
  3. Tell us what is wrong and, where you can, give the address of a public page that shows the right figure: your fees page, your admissions page, your leavers' destinations.

We aim to reply within five working days. A correction backed by a public source is normally live sooner. It is then listed on our corrections page. You do not need an account, and anyone at the school may write to us.

What we publish, and why

  • Register details: name, address, type, age range, pupil numbers, head teacher's name as the Department for Education's register gives them.
  • Inspection, results and destinations from Ofsted and the Department for Education's published tables. We show them as published, with the year, and never turn them into a score.
  • Fees, admissions dates, open days and leavers' destinations from your own website, each with a link to the page it came from and the date we read it.

We publish these because parents choosing a school need them in one place, in a form they can compare. We do not publish reviews, rumours, league-table positions or anything about named pupils or staff other than the head.

What you cannot change

Schools cannot pay to appear, to be placed higher or to be described differently, and cannot remove an accurate published fact. If an official figure is wrong at source, we will add a note when you show us the correction you have asked the publisher to make.

Our lawful basis and data sources

Information about schools is not personal data, except the name of the head teacher, which we take from the public register and publish in our legitimate interest, and parents', in knowing who leads a school. Official data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0: Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Facts from school websites are quoted with a link to the page. The full list of sources is in our privacy notice. To object to how we show a named person, write to privacy@deepteaching.ai.
